Campaign Now in Talks with Multiple Transit Agencies
April 6th, 2009
Greetings all!
We apologize for the lack of updates the last couple of weeks! Rest assured that we are still hard at work to get ads on buses across Indiana. The campaign is currently in talks with several different public transit organizations across the state. If you’re in Indiana, we’d love to hear where you want our atheist message to be seen.
We’ll have a lot more to say in a few more days!

The slogan should be altered to: “How to be good without A god”, or “How to be good without gods.” By using the singular “God” and by capitalizing it, you are objectifying and symbolically validating the Judeo-Christian-Islamic concept of of a single god and ignoring the thousands of other gods that also don’t exist and also ignoring the thousands of versions of the Judeo-Christian-Islamic “God” that exist in the minds of various people and sects of every “monotheistic” religion. .

I just moved from Bloomington a couple months ago, but I’d love to see atheist ads on the Bloomington buses. Because of IU, Bloomington is one of the more progressive towns in Indiana. Spread the word!

I went to Purdue and West Lafayette, IN is most certainly not one of the more progressive towns in Indiana. My vote for where to advertise goes to the Purdue CityBus in West Lafayette.

Could you go to Evansville? It would certainly be helpful.

Please, please, please take this campaign to Muncie!!! If ever there were repressed atheists in Indiana, they are in Muncie. That town could use a little controversy & eye-opening! I’d also second the suggestions of Evansville and Lafayette. How about Ft. Wayne?
Also, I agree that specifically singling out the Judeo-Christian-Islamic “God” is probably not a good idea – I can see a lot of Christians, especially, taking this as a specific vendetta against their religion, rather than a promotion of a different viewpoint. I really like “You can be good without a god!”

Please come to Evansville!!!!!!

I’m going to second the request for Muncie, and also put in a plug for Richmond since you’re going to get some Buckeyes with that one! Other cities of choice: Anderson, Ft. Wayne, Indy, Elkhart/South Bend, and Evansville.
What about using one of the “you are not alone” ads?
